The episode examines the February 19, 2026 case of Dawson Maloney, a 23-year-old Albany Law School student who drove from the East Coast to a Los Angeles Department of Water and Power facility near Boulder City, Nevada, crashed through a substation gate around 10 a.m., and died in his vehicle from a self-inflicted shotgun wound while wearing body armor with firearms and explosive materials present. The FBI and Las Vegas police treat it as counter-terrorism with no active public threat.
