Sunrise comes quickly on the equator. Moru Kopjes are my favorite place to camp in the Serengeti National Park in northern Tanzania. The dawn chorus of nightjars, guinea fowl, spurfowl with the wildebeests "gnuing", zebras barking, an African buffalo ambles by our tents and a dik dik stands sentinel on top of the Kopje. Heaven on Earth.
