Here’s a video to show the BernieDawg Dawg-A-Nova on a Hiker+ stove burning kerosene. If you plan to use kerosene with your stove, use K-1 grade water-white (clear) kerosene. DO NOT use diesel fuel with these stoves. DO NOT use bio-diesel with these stoves. Neither will work well and you could really clog up your stove. Trust me on this - I’ve already tried both and both of these vehicle fuels SUCK as stove fuel. Don’t believe the advertising hype from the manufacturers, please. It just ain’t true.👍
I show the type of K-1 kerosene that I use and is best for this stove. I also show the type of denatured alcohol that works great for preheating these stoves. Preheating with kerosene is a yucky, sooty mess - use denatured alcohol.
