When you add a transition in DaVinci Resolve, the frame you land on while navigating clips can appear incorrect or even black. This happens because the viewer shows the transition itself instead of the actual frame from the clip.

In this video, you'll learn a simple technique to reveal the real frame under a transition using the Source Viewer and Match Frame. This lets you inspect the exact frame from the clip without deleting or modifying the transition.

This trick works with any transition, including Cross Dissolve, Dip to Color Dissolve, and others, and is especially useful when using shortcuts to jump between clips in the timeline.

What you'll learn:

🎬 Why transitions hide the real frame in the viewer
🎬 How to reveal the original source frame instantly
🎬 How to inspect frames without removing the transition
🎬 A better workflow when navigating clips with keyboard shortcuts

This tutorial was inspired by a viewer question on my previous video about jumping to the next or previous clip with arrow keys.
