King Saul was hunting young David down to kill him. He was jealous of David and wanted him out of the way for good. But God loved David and told him that He would deliver his enemy into his hand, and that he could to him whatever seemed good to him to do.
One sweet day God did just that. He delivered Saul into David’s hand. David and his men were in a cave, and in walked King Saul. Saul did not even see them there, hiding in the shadows. David’s fellows quietly whispered to him that God had finally delivered King Saul into his hand, just as He had promised. It was the day they had been waiting for.
