My dear friend David Black left the earth plane yesterday after a long battle with illness. He was one of the most incredible musicians I've ever met. I was fortunate enough to play with Dave at the NAMM show in the Friedman booth in 2019 and 2020 and got to know him really well during that time. I learned so much from him and we always kept in touch. We were both born on October 18th and would get together on our birthdays.
I found this video of us rehearsing an original song of Dave's at my old apartment in Detroit. It's a memory I'll always cherish and had to share. Ride on forever my brother.
