In this talk, presented at the Socorro Public Library on August 15th, 2026, Dave Thomas tells how the Roswell Incident was caused by his physics professor, Charles B. Moore, who was a student at NYU. Moore was sent to Alamogordo in 1947 to launch balloons to detect Soviet atomic weapons, as part of top-secret Project MOGUL.
Dave also discusses several hoaxes involving the Roswell Incident, the Aztec, NM flying saucer story, the Socorro 1964 UFO sighting by officer Lonnie Zamora, and more. A Q&A session followed.
