Libertarian comedian Dave Smith controversially stated that it's "probably better that Democrats win", after he has turned on Trump after supporting him in 2024, which he decided to do after calling for his impeachment in Trump's first term. However, this angered both his libertarian fans and MAGA Trump supporters.
Dave Smith also said that there is an argument that it would have been better had Kamala won instead of Trump in 2024.
For example, the Libertarian Party itself responded: "WTF are you doing
@ComicDaveSmith ?? Democrats are the worst! This ain’t it 🤦♂️" Another responded: "Dave was complaining about ice removing illegals too. He’s a libertarian cuck who’s opinion is irrelevant" Another stated: "Can't wait till the democrats kick Dave off of every social media service and force hime to get the covid 19 double booster shot. We will all have a good laugh 😃"
The anger is from a mix of his libertarian fans and his conservative MAGA haters who are angry at him for not supporting Trump. Trump's war with Iran among other things has caused some of his supporters to backlash against the maga movement and Trump. But there are still some that remain.
