In this video, I discuss five reasons being a real estate investor is not for everyone
1) Buying a house is complicated. most people who make money in real estate have some level of expertise. if your not spending 20+ hours learning real estate and the area your trying to buy in, you are taking heavy risks with your finances.
2)People rent cheap, but buy houses way above there income.
Locking in an expensive morgage, keeps people paycheck to paycheck .
3) Stocks are a better investment for most investors financial situations than real estate.
4) Housing markets like any other asset class are volatile.
If the housing market in your area crashes, moving will be impossible unless you are willing to take MAJOR losses
5) Unexpected Costs.
first time homeowners never budget enough because costs always come up. Everything that can break WILL EVENTUALLY BREAK
