As cyber threats evolve in sophistication and become even more common, there is a need for a seamless relationship between hardware and software to keep end user data protected. Software alone cannot defend against all the complex methods deployed by cybercriminals and leveraging hardware security capabilities raises the bar substantially for the attacker. In this session we want to go over how security features like Personal Data Encryption and BitLocker among others are backed with hardware features like the Trusted Platform Module 2.0, Microsoft Pluton and Virtualization-based security (VBS).
