A strange sighting of a black ghostly figure has caused an outbreak of mass hysteria, in a Malaysian school district, causing schools in the region to be cordoned off by local authorities.
In all cases a black figure is said to be the cause of this problem, with many students stating that they have not only seen a black figure, but have been possessed by it as well. Teachers and staff have joined the students, stating that they too, have been possessed by this strange force.
Whether the force is something unusual, or a psychological phenomena, is unknown. But a recent photo has been taken by a student, stating that they captured the black figure at a school.
In the photo you can see a black figure just visible. Weather this is just a trick of light, or something real, is unknown. But what is known, is that this mass outbreak of hysteria over the figure, is spreading throughout the country.
Reporters attempting to speak with students at one school were not allowed entry to the school but heard screams coming from inside one classroom.
Not only has the event caused great concern from government officials, but they in fact seem at a loss to explain this extreme cause of mass hysteria. The education chiefs in the region, having given up on conventional means, are turning to the use of shamans and religious leaders to try and clear out the unexplainable force.
Those affected by the bizarre hysteria say they are overwhelmed by bad spirits and see spirits such as the pontianak, a type of female vampiric ghost popular in Malaysian folklore.
Pontianaks are said to be the spirits of women who died while giving birth.
For example, a 32 year old teacher in one case, said she felt something pinning her down after she tended to a student, who was complaining of seeing demons. She said she could feel it and it was a real true force.
