I tried this with just dodging for a while.. It's not worth it. He almost never used the slow overhead slam and I just couldn't deal with or punish most of his other moves. Manus is cool a pretty unique boss but some of his attacks are just broken.

The tracking, camera, and visibility are all horrible and Manus can stretch his arm really far or turn and follow you in mid air.. I also found Silver Pendant pretty useless. His Dark Bead doesn't give enough warning.
