Against my better judgment I weighed in on a recent Reddit thread regarding invasions.
At the end of the day, there are people who play the game, and then there are griefers. I believe that many of the folks who don't like DS 3 invasions but liked to invade in earlier Souls iterations are actually not invaders, but griefers.
Griefers can be invaders acting like assholes, or they can be ganking hosts, who use the dried finger to invite invaders into their world, only to hopelessly outnumber and crush them for sport.
I thought the experience I had in this video was timely. This Spear of the Church was a pure asshole. He was salty that he'd been outplayed, and so his revenge was to run around and deliberately try to annoy and frustrate me.
