After this trip to Gank City I am convinced that parrying spells is completely stupid. If you miss the timing you get hurt, if you nail the timing you're now recovering from an animation where if you rolled you can continue to be aggressive/passive. It looks cool but the caster having no punishment for a successful spell parry (like a feedback of damage, drain of fp, loss of stamina, literally anything) means that is all it’s good for as rolling is just more efficient.
