Took me a few tries. The run to the Ancient Dragon can be rough. Fight the first guy straight up, cheese the second guy with arrows on the stairs, sneak up on the third guy and take him out before he has a chance to swing (my mace worked fine for this) and parry the guy on the stairs leading up to the Ancient Dragon (he's really easy to parry even though I suck at parrying). When going for your Third Age Dragon ring you'll encounter a big guy with a hammer. I have no easy solution to him... I cheesed him with fire bombs in the hallway, but he'll wreck you if he gets too close.
