Parrying bosses is almost always worse than just dodging in Dark Souls 2..
I have no idea why they let you even parry them when there's no benefit to doing it. You can usually only land one hit and you don't even get the counter attack bonus. The only bosses it's actually good against in Pursuer and Velstadt.
