Eerie piece inspired heavily by the Russian Sleep Experiment Creepypasta. The thought of being kept awake and the horrors you would experience together with the bleak and grey cell in the story drove the themes and progression. The percussion and secondary sounds keep increasing as time goes on, to mimic the rising intensity due to build up in sleep deprivation.

I've made one violin, one viola and two piano tunes as a basis, reworking them in a way to create this piece of background horror music.
Some of the ambient sounds were created inverting the piano sounds recorded for this piece. A small metal bell was used together with various sticks as percussion, and the blowing sounds were created bowing a xylophone with a cello and violin bow. With synthesizer pads made in Zebra2 and Pigments.

There is something about dark stories that appeals to us. Noises heard in a house once home to a murdered family. Tales of a mysterious creature spotted in the night. A mind haunted by voices coming from seemingly nowhere. These songs are the soundtrack to those type of stories. Inspired by the enigma's found in horrorfilms and thrillers.
