It's the first day of Spring, the season of romance, and Jay is desperate for some companionship. When he decides to give Doris a chance, he finds that he really connects with her (in more ways than one), but a part of both their pasts might add some conflict to their relationship.
This is an idea I've always tinkered around with in my head. The original episode featured Jay concerned that he had slept with Doris, before she explains that nothing happened. After they hung out the next day, they put the pieces together that she might actually be Jay's biological mother.
While the ending reveals, via a DNA test, that they're not related, there were so many small things that make it clear that they are indeed mother and son, such as Doris remembering Jay's noise when he burped up his milk, and that fact that Doris' baby would've been 36 by now, like Jay himself.
The editing for this video was mostly straightforward compared to the previous ones so far. I didn't even need to rotoscope anything, although I occasionally cropped/edited some scenes for consistency. I'm really proud about how this video came out, and I'm excited to be working on more in the future. My only issue with this is that the show had a short run of 23 episodes, so there's only so much I can work with in editing these videos. Still though, I can't wait to make more in the future!
