Possibly the most stylished model from "dansette" first advertised late 1960 featuring MW/LW and a single play record deck ( made by Staar ) runs from 2 x PP9 batterys and uses a electro voice cartridge/ stylus,
Models came in red / grey / blue patterend rexine and a number of different finishes to the plastic frett / facials, being cream, grey, or rarer gold or chrome sprayed, radio domes either all cream or with the clear perspex sides being covered in a metalic gold leaf paper ( like the dansette lid labels on ) and other finishes,
Insides differer alot, after owning a few the battery wire leads seem to change, some have both reds linked, while others have one red going direct to the metal circut board base, and others all 4 battery wires going seperately to the circut boards., Handy hint if yours runs slow even with new battery, under the pick up arms theres a heavy metal plate, remove it and that will solve it, if still slow , unclip the turntable from under the deck ( metal clip ) that will let the turntable come off and wipe the inner rim with fine sandpaper, if that fails the motor has a adjustment screw, while turntables of, on the motor casing, there should be a sticker or a hole, with ya fingers turn motor spindle slowely round and look in the hole for 2 screws together, one will be fully tight, the other isnt , gentle turn slightly !!! clockwise , this will increase the speed, put turntable back on with the clip and try a disc, if its to slow adjust again or if to fast, turn that same screw anti clockwise. sounds complicated but its easy.
