The Shining is a beloved classic and is considered to be one of the best horror movies ever made. The general consensus is that everyone loves it, except for Stephen King. Which is why in 1997 he made an attempt to do a visual adaptation of his novel justice. Did it work? Or is this a case of a faithful adaptation gone wrong?
