OOOOOOHHHH New Dance video, back in my traditional category for this year's Soul's Team IC 20, a famous 3-man team competition that I entered with Tricky and Noctys.

So here's Emp※re (pronounced the same as Empire), spiritual son of one of my previous work KingDUM. The ※ symbol is simply the japanese asterisk but is used in Kingdom Hearts to reference the "unreality", a new conceptual realm, akin to fiction. I chose to replace the letter "i", as it's commonly used as the imaginary unit for complex numbers.

I know many people edited the same song this year but how could you not, Ado's range is so diversified, it's juste perfect to edit to. I wanted to reference the original MV's direction with yellow typography but with my own little twist and an even more pronounced arabic style. As usual, I try to remain fresh with my scene selection so I refrained from using some of the more obvious arabic dances that I already pulled in KingDUM. This year we had 4 days instead of 3 so I was able to add more compositions than usual, of course my main drive and strength is rather in the vibe, synch and flow, on which I put a lot of thoughts in but I hope you can appreciate the other details!
