I am depressed that this song now fits Dair so much...
If you had asked me during s1, s2, s3, hell even first half of s4 about Dan&Blair as a couple, I would've said "NO WAY IN HELL!! CHAIR FOR LIFE!!!". But then season 4 happened, and Dair happened. At first I liked them as friends, but was skeptical for romance. Then I wanted them to get a chance together for a while before the big Chuck&Blair reunion I expected in the end of s4. By the end of s4 I liked both couple equally, but prefered CB as endgame because of their long history. Have to say that the s4 finale was strong Chair moment, the only good one since 4x09 (and before that 4x02), but really amazing and reminded us why we shipped them together in the first place (note that I shipped them before the limo scene). Then season 5 happened, and Dair completely stole my heart. And Chuck and Blair got so repetitive with their 'Oh, I love you but we can't be together because of some pulled-out-off-the-writers's-butts reason' got annoying, especially with the 'promise to God thing'... Also, now, at this point of my life, unlike my 16 years old self, I think that if two people always hurt each other, they should not be together. This is why I can't ship Chuck&Blair together. Also, in the matter of 5 or so episodes Blair went from 'I am not in love with you' to 'I'm all in'. How does that happen?
As for Dair, I love them. They went from enemies to allies to friends to best friends (I can no longer think of Serena as Blair's best friend) to love. Dan has been Blair's rock, she's been the one who encouraged and believed in him. As he said in 6x01, he loved her no matter what, he was there for her and was 'all in'. And she seemed to be that same way. But all of the sudden they were ruined and we didn't even get a break up. They just stopped being, vanished from the blue... While in my eyes, they deserved more. Even if they were doomed because of the CB endgame the fans obviously want. But... I will have to suffer through season 6 somehow...
Onto the video. The song is currently like written for Dair, I was just too lazy to use more of it. I like the outcome, hope you will too.

Can I say that I am quite happy... no, scratch that, I LOVE how this turned out. And that is so unusual for me that I still cant believe it, but really, I think the final video is quite good.
Tbh, it was making itself. The song is written for them in every possible way. And that tiny scene where she ran into his arms and then his speech (that unfortunately Elena will never hear) inspired me immensly.
I tried to include both points of view, and also to put in moments from the first seasons as well as the recent scenes. I have this observation that you can rarely find a recent Delena video with scenes from... 1x03, 1x04, 1x18, 2x18, 2x20, even 3x03, 3x05. And while I quite like many DE videos Ive saw recently, I think now that they have all those hugs and kisses we shouldnt forget their beuatiful moments in the beggining that made us fall in love with them in the first place.
The editing is a bit different from my usual style maybe, but I think it works well with this song. The velocity changes were sth I decided on practically in the last moment, but I think they were a good choice. And it was because of that video that I decided to use some new sparkles :D

ABSOLUTELY NO BASHING AND SHIP WARS! Comments like that will be deleted!!! The point of this video is to show that loving one couples doesnt mean you hate the other. That fans have the right to ship, love, appreciate whoever they want without being insulted for it. To show tolerance and that each couples has had beautiful moments that its fans appreciate.
As you know, I am a Damon/Elena shipper (even though the writers are testing me and every Delena fan out there). BUT that doesnt mean I hate Stelena or Stefan. As a matter of fact, I LOVE Stefan. And Stelena had some amazing moments. I do think Damon is more right for Elena. I do think that Damon and Elena have a much more interesting and evolved relationship and bond, as well as better chemistry. I do want them to end up together. But that doesnt mean I am full on hating Stelena or insulting their scenes and stuff. If I criticize their scenes, its because I dont like the writing or the directing or sth, not just cause I wanna spit venom. I have criticized Delena scenes too. For example the 3x22 flashback that I still think felt forced, OOC for s1 and pre s1 Damon, etc. What I mean is that I hate the ship wars and we should all learn to be more tolerant and understanding and just appreciate the show.
As for the video, I am very happy how it turned out, I think it does justice to both couples, but I guess you will be the judges of that.
