It's overwhelming to think about how connected we all are. For a woman in the United States to be so closely tied to a woman in South Korea, both living in such different environments. It happens rarely, but i'm incredibly lucky for my mothers to have met. For these two women who both had to give up so much for me, who can't even truly share a sentence, to be able to connect and have so much in common is an incredible thing. This song is about my mother(s) and everything they had to go through (goods + bads) for me to exist. This song is also about the Korean adoption industry and just recognizing that for all the goods it provides, there's still a darkness that hangs over much of it. This is dedicated to them + all the mothers that go through so much for their children.
