Dana Roberson (87BA), executive producer of PBS NewsHour Weekend, discusses her career in national news and public affairs programming.

The multi-award-winning veteran producer worked at New York Public Radio for the national daily news program The Takeaway and has worked at CBS News on acclaimed programs, such as 60 Minutes, 60 Minutes II, and CBS Sunday Morning. Roberson also worked with legendary newsman Dan Rather at CBS News and on his investigative team at AXS-TV.

Her investigative reporting earned a Peabody Award for coverage of the Abu Ghraib prison scandal in Iraq. Roberson has covered stories from 9/11 and the war in Afghanistan to the opioid crises and criminal justice reform.
