$The Homi Bhabha Lectures 2021: Women in Science in India: status and prospects Dr Godbole will give an overview of the current status about participation of women in Science and future prospects. This will be influenced by her experiences as the founding chair of the Indian Academy Panel for Women in Sciences and a series of programs /initiatives which she has participated or initiated over the past few decades. One of them being a book that she co-edited Lilavatis Daughters: Women Scientists of India. The talk will also draw upon experiences gained in drafting the Equity and inclusion chapter in Indias Science, Technology and innovation policy, 2020.
