Hi,

It's finally finished. I have been working on this solidly for 2 weeks, and I mean solidly, it's been a lot of hours work haha. The last few days especially have been a pain because my Sony Vegas started running super slow and my laptop got really hot and it was annoying, and I've been trying to export for a whole day now, anyway it's here, it's done and it might not be as I originally intended but i'm still proud to have finished it. Thank you for all the lovely feedback on the preview, it really meant a lot to me!

Damon&Elena's story is one of my absolute favourites, I have loved them since the very beginning and I watched the show when it first started airing in the UK and obsessively watched each week until Season 6 where unfortunately I failed to continue. But I love their story and I love their ups and downs. I think their friendship for me is one of my favourite aspects and how they're always there for each other. It's amazing and it's epic and it's one hell of a journey haha. I remembered why I loved them making this and I realise that so many parts of this video make zero sense and don't really follow narratively but that was because I was trying to follow the lyrics and intertwine their good and bad but how they always come back to each other. It probably failed but ah such as life. Also I stressed about remembering scenes so if I forget any important ones please forgive me. Usually I know all of their scenes (apart from season 6) off by heart but I totally blanked making this haha, typical!

NOW THIS SONG. I freaking love this song. It's got to be one of the most epic cheesy songs of all time and I LOVE IT. I had this idea a long time ago (when the show ended...) and i'm so glad I've been able to actually do this. I wanted to do an epic Delena video and whilst this isn't quite epic, it is long haha so yeah hopefully I've done this song justice at least a little bit.

A few thank you's are in order for this. Firstly, I watched this video a long time ago but I think subconsciously I was incredibly inspired by it whilst making this. I watched it today again and realised I think I've used some scenes at the same point, it was an accident I promise, but I definitely want to make a special mention to this gorgeous video and for you to all check it out:
