welp here we are. 2022s editing collection. i uh, did not edit, very much, this year..... i kept trying to join things and then life got overwhelming and i flaked. terribly sorry. editing is hard, sometimes, actually, especially when i feel like i have no free time or energy lmfao

but yeah idk. this year was one of my roughest but also one of the best for many reasons. i got to fulfil a decade long dream of having two of my absolute best friends red and lena at my wedding reception. red, lena, and me, in the same place, at the same time... still feels like im dreaming when i think about it??? and yet there are photos. i got to hug both of them. AT THE SAME TIME!! still cant believe it happened. im so grateful :)
i also had a rough time at work, but i got promoted this year, so thats cool! kyle is starting his own business! thats really cool!! i also got a raise recently, which im very proud of. umm lets see. i also started being more honest with myself re fashion. ive sort of moved away from visual kei/pastel goth and more firmly set foot into himekaji/ryousangata, which has been nice!! and kyle bought me PINK SPEAKERS FOR CHRISTMAS to fully support my pink desk set up. it is now complete. i love you kyle. mwah
oh, i got into a bunch of really excellent new media this year. read 23 books!! orv, of course, absolutely takes the cake - it means the world to me. i really need everyone to read orv. the whole story is genuinely so important. and i got into danmei! read all of mdzs and tgcf, reading 2ha and will start on svsss soon. hualian my beloved. go read tgcf it will also change your life
but seriously i could talk for the rest of the description about orv. i know its daunting - over 1 million words - but the journey is the best ive ever had. just, genuinely, the best book ive ever read. i love kim dokja with all my heart. i love all of kdjcom with all my heart. PLEASE read orv. i will give you the og stitched together epub so you can read it. please. if you have ever felt you were the kind of person who uses a story to cope with the world around you READ ORV. it is the kindest, most genuine love letter to people who love to get lost in a story i have ever, ever read. i have never felt less alone in my entire life. i have never felt more LOVED then while i was binge reading orv for the very first time, having no fucking clue what was going to happen. please read orv it is the most impactful story in the universe and the most wonderful ever. you will feel so seen, if you are anything like me. i love you sns. thank you for writing such a kind story. i will never forget it.

i dont usually post parts on their own anymore, and man, i really wasnt gonna upload anything today i tried to edit something, but, well... but anyways. i just. idk i wanted a place to get out my feelings and what better way then a youtube description??? yall can honestly ignore this and the description if you feel like it its just kind of a mess all around lmao
i cant believe its already been a year. a year since the morning i woke up in a panic over your last twitter message to me, a year since lena, rowan and i waited practically unblinking for the news as to whether we had gotten to you in time or not.
a year since i found out we had not.
its.. incredibly hard to describe how ive been feeling today. half the time my brain cant handle the amount of emotions im feeling and i just kinda.. cant think much. the other half im crying like it happened yesterday. i miss you more then words can describe. every day, in every accomplishment i have or bad day i go through, youre in my thoughts.
i know you told me not to remember you so.. sadly, all the time, and i know you told me you wouldnt be disappointed when i couldnt stop myself from doing so, but i still feel like i failed you. i feel like im failing you when i have good days; if i dont think about you enough during them, if i.. if i just try and.. move on and be /happy/ again. i feel like its not fair, sometimes, that i have to go through this again, that im supposed to move forward /again/, while you.. didnt.
and i hate myself. i hate myself for even thinking those kinds of thoughts, because ive been there. more than most people you knew, i think, i know why you did it. i understand. i cant ever truly blame you. but some days i dont know how else to feel. its so hard to remember you fondly and carry on without you, hope. every day is still a struggle. sometimes i cant even look at the twitter app on my phone, even though ive barely touched it since last year, without wanting to throw up.
what if i had been five minutes faster? what if instead of going to bed that night, i had joined you and rowan for the call? would i have noticed? would i have been able to talk you out of it, or get you to the hospital fast enough?
i wouldve dropped everything to get to you, hope. i pray to whatever god there is that you knew that, even in your final moments, and that it was a conscious choice you made to not tell me instead of thinking that i wouldnt have.
in your final words to me, you told me that i had been your strength many times. that this time, though, you had to bear that burden alone. why? why did you have to? i still cant answer that and sometimes it keeps me up all night. some days i just.. wish i could do it all over, wish i could figure out a way that this couldve ended up differently.
some days i dont. and i hate myself for that. some days, ive started to actually.. be okay with everything. not with you gone, not really, but be okay with missing you. be okay with keeping you in my memory.
i just. ugh. i dont know this is such a mess. im such a mess.
i just miss you so much, hope. so much has happened in a year. theres so much i wanted to share with you so much ive wanted to show you or tell you or laugh about with you.
sometimes i dream about it. dream about opening up skype again and seeing you there, seeing your username, and just... talking to you again. listening to your headcanons and favorite things. asking you about your day. sharing music and fanart with you. telling you what ive been up to, all the things youve missed since last year... i show you the tattoo i got in your memory. explain its origins to you. its stupid, really, but those are some of my favorite dreams these days. even if i wake up feeling like shit afterwards.
wherever you are, i hope youre finally resting. i hope you finally got to relax and smile from your heart without worries. i hope you met your aunt again.
ill never stop missing you, hope. ill never forget about how good of a friend you were. how grateful i am that i got to know you, for however long.
