US News & World Report recently released its list of top high schools in the country. The Barack Obama Male Leadership Academy ranked in the top 30!
It's an all-boys public school in Dallas ISD. The majority of the students at the school are Hispanic and African American.
Fifteen years ago, the vision for the Barack Obama Male Leadership Academy (BOMLA) was clear: create a space for the comprehensive development of young men of color.
Ontario Brown is the living proof of that mission. From entering the school as a 7th grader in 2011 to returning as a first-year math teacher, his full-circle journey shows exactly what happens when we invest in our youth.
