In 1999, Dale Sutherland launches Operation Giovanni, a risky undercover storefront operation in Washington D.C. Posing as Richie Giovanni, he creates a fake criminal location where drug dealers and criminals are filmed in the act.
Inspired by a 1970s Washington police sting operation, Dale and his team build a hidden recording setup with FBI support. Inside the storefront, suspects sell drugs, offer guns and discuss violent crimes while undercover officers gather evidence.
The operation raises constant security concerns, both for the officers inside and for Dale’s family, while his role as a pastor continues alongside his police work.
