A "Dakota Fire Pit" in deep snow or as i call it "Snow Hobo" works under raw and windy weather condition very good!!! I went out for a snow shoe hike in the Swiss Mountains on a snowy day and show how the snow helps us to create such a fire. I did it just big enough to boil a cup of water and have a hot tea, because that is a great way to stay warm under those conditions.
