DROP CLARITY
Yes, one clean drop overhead is ideal for your pump gun. I lightly dabbed it on the wiper. Just don't hose it down. A second dose of 2 drops should only happen if after 10 shots the performance is still lagging. That can indicate dry seals or, for old gun, used up seals.
For the needle nose, three of those tiny drops is fine for 25. Most spring guns are touch and go with lube work. A mag springer is needle nose using silicone in transport hole. The 340 can go needle nose or normal dropper on hammer hook.
FP-10 is expensive. Here are better deals for the "oil hole" in these spring guns:

Of course you can use airgun-grade siicone for multi-pump too. My remarks are linked to great performance on a cleaned up P-17.
For the Boy Scout, a drop on the seal and wiper won't harm gun. Also, there is no chamber seal to concern yourself with in a single pump. Lubing a single pump every 1000 shots is practical. With my 753, it likes it closer to 500, and the lube works best when heavy - more than a drop - power and accuracy. Again, no chamber seal.
Note: If you plan to change O-rings in your pump gun, try to apply lube directly to rings. Otherwise, it can take a few shots to seal pump tube properly.
