On 'Homage to the Circle of True Doom: Demo Two' we're paying homage to the bands that were part of the Circle of True Doom. This particular demo (which is the second out of two demos) pays homage to The Gates of Slumber, Spiritus Mortis, and Reverend Bizarre
Dagothar are proud members of Phil Howlett's Fan Club
This demo is dedicated to three doomers that passed away this year: Lance Collier (After the Sun/Dead East Garden/Savage). Lance was very kind and a generous person, his love for heavy music was inspiring and After the Sun were among my favorite bands. We used After the Sun - Centuries of Sorrow as a reference track for both homage to the circle of true doom demos while mastering our songs.
Linus Pilebrand(Crowlegion, Beneath the Frozen Soil, Nuke From Orbit) a fellow musician in the Gothenburg metal scene, fellow doomer. Thank you for all of the help and support throughout the years. You were taken from us way too soon.
JX Lindhe(Silver Grime, Obscurity)
Never met you nevertheless your music will live on, you were among the first to play extreme metal in Sweden
Listen to the Circle of True Doom: Cold Mourning, Mirror Of Deception, Orodruin, Minotauri, Pale Divine, Warning, Spiritus Mortis, Reverend Bizarre, While Heaven Wept, Solstice, The Gates of Slumber, The Doomsday Cult, isoLe/Forlorn, Dawn of Winter, Millarca, Revelation, Penance.
Recordings took place between 1/12 - 7/12 2025, 9/12 - 10/12 2025, additional vocal recordings on the 19th of December 2025. Recorded at Dagothar's rehearsal room(Doom Room) except some additional vocal recordings that were done at Ghoul's inner sanctum. Recorded by Dagothar.
