Man the clunky combat just ruins this game for me. This is prob the 5th attempt I've had at Daggerfall over the years and it doesn't really get any easier.

wanted to see if going full blast gifts would tank my fps as bad as before, especially on later levels with tons of special enemy effects. Bottomed out at 31:13 with 68.8fps, avg 220+ fps w/o blasts.

First fully working 3DMark with all the DX12 benchmarks in Linux. Theres about a 4-5% performance penalty with full-screen recording using GPU Screen Recorder. Sound turned off for 3DMark by default since I usually have music on.
I can now run 3DMark without any significant issues using the latest CachyOS Proton test build (proton-cachyos-11.0-20260506-base-261-g0143cc26-x86_64_v3.tar.xz) https://nightly.link/CachyOS/proton-cachyos/actions/runs/25724894112
Extract it to a folder in your compatibilitytools.d folder. It should be under your main steam installation. e.g. /home/[username]/.local/share/Steam/compatibilitytools.d/
Time Spy was a bit slower than Windows in regards to Graphics (4%) and a similar 18% slower as in Fire Strike when looking at the CPU. Steel Nomad was 3% slower than Windows. Somehow Port Royal was faster in Linux (+1.5%) despite being a DX12 Raytracing test. I did notice some small background bits not properly rendering for Port Royal so that possibly affected the scores. Speed Way was 1.3% faster than Windows with nothing graphically seemingly wrong. Also, I was unable to run the Steel Nomad in Vulkan mode (Failed expression: VK_ERROR_OUT_OF_DATE_KHR on call swapchain_backbuffer_acquire_result) But otherwise, you can now run all the DirectX modes without any issues.
For protontricks, you may need to build the latest from git for it to work properly with wine11. If you have an Arch-based distro like CachyOS, you can just type paru protontricks into the terminal and install aur/protontricks-git
Register the advanced edition with your cd key (Replace [CDKEY] with your actual key):
protontricks -c wine cmd /C reg add HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareFuturemark3DMark /v KeyCode /t REG_SZ /d [CDKEY] 223850
