A welcome break from DIY proves fruitful. Dagenham Chase - more formally known as Eastbrookend Country Park these days, includes several lakes, and is a green oasis about a mile and a half south Romford town centre.
A special "Thank you!" to Tommy, a friendly binocular wielding chap who is a regular watcher of the birds of Dagenham Chase, and who tipped me off about the Water Rail hotspot. Good on ya Tommy!
