The gorgeous and clever Ramin Djawadi score plus bread crumbs throughout the entire series give us the necessary insight to have been able to anticipate Dany's downfall. It's not overbearing, allowing us to believe in her all the way up to the pivotal moment in King's Landing, and so we feel Tyrion's disappointment, betrayal and regret right along with him. A deeply underappreciated achievement in GoT and a rare moment in art. I know the internet has expressed misgivings about the Game of Thrones ending, especially in relation to Daenerys' fate, but I want to share with you how they actually nailed it.
