This is a quick video of a restoration I did on a Peugeot Tourmalet road racing bicycle from the 1980s. This is a classic vintage road racing bike that was quite fast back in the 1980s, but is an antique now. I found this Peugeot Tourmalet road racing bicycle next to some garbage cans with a sticker on it that said “free.” I wanted to find out how much a free bike costs, and I ended up spending about $200 getting this Peugeot Tourmalet classic bike back on the road, and adding my own customizations to it to make it more comfortable for an older person. I can’t get comfortable on a traditional road racing bike anymore, so I put larger tires on it, and also a more comfortable seat and higher handlebars. With all of those modifications, it still goes quick enough to be fun, and it’s turned into a great comfortable cruiser.
