A rare winter-time tropospheric ducting over the Baltic Ocean! Weak DAB-signals on channel 10B were received here in South-West Finland from multiple transmitters carrying the same DAB-service (E0-1148/ rbb BRB-BLB K10B) in Germany, over a maximum distance of 1 095,2 km (EDIT: 1 120,3 km) !

These transmitters could be identified and shown on the map in real-time using DAB TII (Transmitter Identification Information) and suitable software (here QIRX). A long distance tropospheric propaganation varies slightly while present and thus carries signals from different locations resulting in a fascinating flashdance of DAB-network in action! Screen recording is fast-forwarded for better illustration.
