Me, Grug’thar of the Frostwolf Clan, take quill in hand—awkward, yes, but necessary. For great sorrow fills me heart as I speak of Diablo 4, a venture promised to thrill the bones of even the hardiest orc warrior. Alas, what we received was not the mighty battle-song we yearned for, but a whisper, a whimper, in the night.

Graphics, they say, paint a thousand words. If true, Diablo 4’s speak only of despair. Me expected a tapestry rich with the dark beauty of a storm-laden sky. Instead, we got mud. Mud everywhere. Even the keenest goblin’s gadgetry could not polish this. It’s like they took the spirit of darkness and trapped it inside a pebble. Me squint at characters so lifeless, me wonder if spirit healer turned them away.

The battle, oh, the battle—heart of any saga! Yet here, it is but a frail shadow. Where is the crash of axe on shield, the roar of fireball tearing through the night? Combat feels like swatting flies: annoying and endless, with no glory to be won. Loot? Bah! Grug’thar sees more excitement in a pile of linen scraps than in this game’s treasure troves. The thrill of victory and loot has fled, leaving behind only the grinding gears of disappointment.

And the tale it tells—by the ancestors, such a mess. It is as if a goblin wrote it: all flash, no substance, circles leading nowhere. Characters meander through a plot thinner than a murloc’s spine, speaking words so hollow they echo. Me expected a saga to stir me blood, to make me heart pound as if facing a charging kodo. Instead, me got a story that would bore even a peon to sleep.

As for seeking glory with fellow warriors across the digital battlefield—ha! Me found more reliable connections in the twisting nether. Attempting to band together is like trying to herd wind. Lag, disconnections, a vortex of frustration sucking you in, leaving you to howl at the moon in rage.

In sum, Diablo 4 promised to be a feast for the senses, a battle to be sung of for generations. Instead, it delivered a banquet of ashes, a dirge for what could have been. It is a reminder, even to an orc warrior like me, that not all battles are worth the fight. Me hoped for a legend. Instead, me write this lament. May our next adventure be worthy of our axes. Lok’tar Ogar!
