DMCubingUPDATE 1/17/2018 I've finished my 21st GTS2-M! I discuss the various prototypes up to that point in a video, here: youtu.be/BhbjUtYADD0
My favorite magnet in the GTS2 is the N42 5x1 from gaussboys.com I feel it gives a perfect medium subtle feel. I love it! It's my favorite cube and magnet combination!!! The N48 5x1 is still an equally great magnet, but just slightly stronger than the N42. For people looking for the subtlest workable magnetic feel, a combination of N42 5x1 (gaussboys.com) in the edges and N35 5x1 (magnets365.com) in the corners gives a perfect subtle feel, much like the new factory-magnetized Valk 3 Power M.
UPDATE 7/4/2017 Jay Lewis compares two of my magnetic GTS2's, the N52 5x1 and the N48 5x1: youtu.be/A3hod-NlYXA
UPDATE #4, 6/24/2017: To date, I have done ten prototypes. I go over each prototype in this video: youtu.be/B3bY2hoDOgs These prototypes are:
Please watch this video for the findings on each prototype: youtu.be/B3bY2hoDOgs
Other interesting findings: - The Cubicle Lab's regular magnetic GTS2 uses 5x1 magnets, and more than likely in an N48 strength, though they place their magnets in a different location than I do, and it gives a slightly more subtle feel than where I place mine. But when the pieces are disassembled (their standard GTS2M and my N48 5x1 GTS2M), and the individual pieces are compared to each other, the magnets feel the same. It's possible the Cubicle uses an N50 5x1, it's hard to know for sure, but the N48 5x1s from Apex look and perform the same. - The factory GTS2 M uses 4x1.5 magnets, most likely N35, and personally, feel too light for my liking.

DMHow To Magnetize a 5x5 Rubiks Speed Cube (Wushuang & Others)DMCubing2018-02-20 | Hey everyone! Here's my 5x5 magnetic tutorial- without a doubt, the most-requested video I've had requests for! Thank you!!!
A very special thanks to KSCuber who helped me with the setup and solve footage. Be sure to check him out, he's got an excellent channel: youtube.com/channel/UC39ASoBuqJAmEuZotv0IFnw
Thanks too, to Adam Greenwood who provided information on magnet selection.
Everything here should be pretty well explained in the video, but if you have questions, be sure to let me know. You'll need 96 magnets, often people use N35 or N38 4x1.5 in the Wushuang, throughout, and in other 5x5's, often a stronger magnet (for example, an N35 4x2) will be used in the inner layer. This project from disassembly to gluing the last magnet can take up to THREE HOURS, so plan accordingly!
Note: The N and S polarities shown in the video are for illustrative purposes to indicate a consistent and proper magnetic polar layout. Your cube doesn't have to use the true North and South of the magnets- I label the magnet ends N and S just to show you how the magnets keep a constant polarity as they're glued in.
Enjoy, and please do let me know how your cube turned out!
HAPPY CUBING!!! DM

Here's the update: I'm working on it! ;-) H And here's a sneak-peak! (Of course, the full tutorial will have all the details, etc.)
This tutorial will be a collaboration! I'm enlisting the help of a YouTube friend, KSCuber, who'll demonstrate the finished product. This ought to be a lot of fun!!! I'm really looking forward to it!! I should have all the video footage shot by week's end, then I'll be sending the cube off to KSCuber, who'll do the demo videoing. If you want to jump ahead of the class and magnetize your own before I post the tutorial read below. OK guys. I hope to have the video posted within a couple of weeks or so. Happy cubing!!! Stay tuned....
For those wishing to magnetize now: You'll see that I show two magnetic layouts early in this short video: NSSN, which necessitates gluing two magnets into one piece (a rather difficult thing to do!) and NS__NS. We'll be doing the NS__NS Polar Layout circled in orange. The rest of the pics in the video show the cubie pieces in relation to this polar layout. MAGNETS: People generally use around an N35 4x1.5 up to N35 4x2 in the 5x5. In the Wushuang, we can get by with using only one strength of magnet, I'll be using N38 4x1.5 throughout. It is recommended NOT to use 4x2's throughout! Use 4x1.5. In other 5x5's, which have a freer middle, it is advisable to use slightly stronger magnets for the inner layers. Here, you can use an N35 4x2 while using either an N35 or N38 4x1.5 on the outer. My graphics show this, so just take a close look there. The 5x5 is easy to disassemble and reassemble. If you tape the inner 3x3 pieces together, it makes it easy to keep all the pieces together- we only need to work on the outer pieces of the cube.
Special thanks to Adam Greenwood, KSCuber, and all the people over at SpeedSolving.com

Hey, guys! Just a quick video to let you know about a recent upload by Christian Cuber of an unboxing of a couple of cubes I sent to him and his brother, Cuber X. Christian Cuber was a winner of one of my giveaways back in May 2017. He won a stickerless GTS2M (#2- second GTS2M I ever made!) and it's been his main ever since. I wanted to get his opinion on my N42 5x1 version, so here's his reaction video. I sent the cube unlubed at his request. I think he liked it! About the strength of magnets: The actual magnetic pullforce strength of the N42 5x1 is actually LESS than that of the N35 4x2, but because of the 5mm width, the magnetic field is extended slightly- enough to get better stabilization without the use of a stronger magnet. And the clicks, or bumps, become softer and gentler. Please show Christian Cuber some support by taking a look at his unboxing, and please consider subscribing to his channel. Thanks so much!!!!DMCubings MEGA SHOUTOUT #3DMCubing2018-01-31 | Hey, guys! Here's my megashoutout #3. The method is identical to several of my tutorials: the Yuxin Little Magic, the Weilong GTS2, and even the original MF3RS, in that the position of the magnets is identical, as is the gluing technique. (Links to those videos, below) There are a couple of minor differences in this cube, particularly if you plan on using a wider magnet, like the 5x1. Here, you'll need to position the magnets up along the cubie piece wall just a little bit higher. But don't worry, I'll show you how, in this video. I've actually forgotten to tell how many magnets to use in a couple of my videos. OOPS. You'll need 48 Neodymium magnets. For this cube, several magnets are good to use: N42 or N48 5x1 N35 4x2 N35 4x1.5
Here are reference videos you can watch if you're new to magnetizing cubes, or happen to be new to my channel.
Thanks for watching!!! If you have any questions, please let me know! Take care, and HAPPY CUBING!!!

Here it is, by request, my tutorial on magnetizing the very popular Yuxin Little Magic speed cube! This is an awesome cube with a very speedy action, and as a magnetized cube, becomes even better! The magnets I used in this video were the Gaussboys N35 4x2. They're slightly on the strong side. I'd say they're medium-strong- so just slightly past the medium mark. On my first Little Magic, I used the N35 4x2 from Magnets365, and since they're slightly undersized and measure, 4x1.7, those magnets feel maybe a little more appropriate for this cube. Personally I don't think many people would need a magnetic pullforce strength greater than what the Gaussboys N35 4x2 give, and people may want to go with a weaker magnet, say, for instance, an N35 4x1.5. Everything else is pretty much covered in the video. If you have questions, please let me know. And if you've magnetized this cube, please let me know what you found works best in it! Thanks so much and enjoy the video! DM The original video to my arrangement/performance/recording of the Batman Theme can be viewed here: youtu.be/DA3Ju_akscE

Hey guys! I thought it was time to do an update on my experiments with the Weilong GTS2-M. To date, I've magnetized 21 of these cubes trying a wide variety of styles and strengths of magnets. I've summarized these findings in both Part 1 (which includes Prototype Cubes, #1 - 10) and this update, Part 2 (which includes #11 - 21).
I've found that I prefer the N42 5x1 magnet from Gaussboys.com. Like the N48 5x1 from Apexmagnets.com, it gives a nice, even magnetic feel, softer "bumps" because of the width of the magnet, but the N42 is just slightly weaker than the N48, and it's a feel I prefer over all the magnets I've tried in this cube.
I also tried a combination of N35 5x1's and N42 5x1's, and that cube makes an excellent subtle cube.
So for a medium feel, the N48 5x1; for a medium subtle feel, the N42 5x1; and for a subtle feel, the N35 5x1/N42 5x1 combination.
The N35 4x2 is still a very good magnet for this cube. It's just that I find the 5mm wide magnets have a better, overall feel. It's like their magnetic attraction is more constant, while not slowing the cube down, and the "bumps" are gentler.
Here's a complete list of the 21 GTS2 cubes I magnetized:
I may also try a combination of N42 5x1 and N48 5x1 magnets in a future cube.
I hope this has been helpful. Please let me know if you have any questions. See you in the next video! Happy cubing! DM

(Skip over if you don't like jazz music or don't want to see me play my trumpet!).
In New Orleans, second line parades start with the sound from a lone trumpet. He signals three times- often there's a response from the crowd to each of his three signals. Then the music starts! The festivities begin! The parade rolls! It's Mardi Gras time! Laissez les bons temps roule!
Here's my take on the second line standard, "Joe Avery's Blues" to usher in the start of Mardi Gras 2018 here in Louisiana!
Happy Mardi Gras to all my subscribers!
You may have heard a small segment of this before, since I use a tiny excerpt for the intro music to my cubing videos! ;-) Here's the entire tune. I think I posted it before to my cubing channel last February, but I've quite a few more new subs since then. What's nice about living in Louisiana is there really isn't much of a break between Christmas and Mardi Gras season. It seems one flows right into the other. As a matter of fact, some people keep their Christmas trees out and change the decorations to purple, green, and gold colors, the colors of Mardi Gras! We even have purple, green, and gold wreathes we hang on our doors and windows! :-)

David S. Miller (me) on all instruments. Recorded Jan. 2016How to Magnetize the Valk 3 Power Speed CubeDMCubing2018-01-08 | Hey guys!!!! He's my tutorial on magnetizing the new QiYi Valk 3 Power speedcube. The cube features a new design with noticeable differences between it and the original Valk 3- new primary plastic capped edge pieces, the absence of corner cutaway holes, primary plastic bases on the corner pieces, and a new core design. This cube is available in a factory-magnetized version, known as the Power M. The Power M is a great cube and has a light magnetic feel. The magnets used in it are N35 4x1.5 in the edges, and N35 4x1 in the corners.
For people looking for a stronger magnetic feel than what the factory Power M has to offer, a do-it-yourself tutorial may be of some interest, so I present this video.
Now, I must point out that magnetizing the Valk 3 Power has a few challenges, mostly in the proper alignment of magnets. I show this in the video. The new capped design of the edge piece only allows so much room for error. The larger internal receiving post of the edge piece cap can come in direct contact with the glued-in magnet if you’re not careful. The two ways to prevent this are, set and glue the corner piece magnet as low into the magnetic slot as possible, and when positioning and gluing the edge piece magnet, be sure to align the edge piece shell to the “master corner piece” so that it aligns to the very front of the corner piece, pushing forward slightly with your fingers. The “master corner piece” is the fully magnetized corner piece that will be used as a guide for aligning and placing the edge piece magnets. This forward-front position assures that the edge piece magnet is not place too high in the edge piece shell. If the edge piece magnet is too high, the cap will not fit back on!!! I show this in the video. Another couple of ways to avoid this happening would be to use a 3mm wide magnet, or placing the magnets on the opposite sides of the internal cubie pieces and disregard using the magnetic slot of the corner piece.
For my project here, I chose an N38 grade 4x1.5 magnet (from Gaussboys). I think it gives a very balanced, medium subtle magnetic feel.
I think you could use a 4x2, but again, because of the possible issues with the edge piece cap tiles, the added thickness of the 4x2 may present even more of a challenge. If in doubt, do some "dry runs" without gluing by placing the magnets inside of the piece with the large of the two caps in place. You'll be able to observe if there's enough room internally for the 4x2. And certainly if using anything wider than 4mm, you'll have to position the magnets on the opposite sides and further down into the cubie pieces.
Anyway, I hope this video is helpful. Let me know if you have any questions, or let me know how you magnetized your cube along with your findings and observations. Thanks for watching, and I’ll see you in the next video. Take care, and HAPPY CUBING!!!! DMA Close Look Inside the Valk 3 Power & Power M Speed CubesDMCubing2018-01-05 | Hey, guys, just a quick look inside the new QiYi Valk 3 Power & Power M. A lot of people have been asking online about the size and strength of magnets. The Power M is unique in that it uses a mixed magnet design: an N35 4x1.5 in the edges, and an N35 4x1 in the corners. This information has been confirmed both by my own measuring, and confirmed by Mats himself! The overall magnetic feel of the Power M is rather light. Though the magnets are subtle, they still have a positive effect on keeping the cube in alignment. The biggest changes that we see in the Power is the new cube piece design- the primary plastic bases to the cubie pieces, the omission of the corner cutaway holes, and a new capped design for the edge piece. No longer is the edge piece a split-type. It's now somewhat like the Gan edge piece- however, instead of a full cap design, we have two separate tiles that make up the top of the edge. Disassembly of the corner piece is the same as the original Valk 3. I cover how to do this in the video. I use a metallic Gan tool to press down on the base retaining prongs to remove the base. Alternately, you could use a 7/32" nutdriver or socket tool. I didn't cover the new core design, as this video is more about what we need to cover in order to magnetize the non magnetic version. I'll have a tutorial on that soon. The Power M version (the magnetic version) has additional springs, a set of stickers and a cleaning cloth. The non magnetic version has only the cleaning cloth and insert cards. Hope this video is helpful and has useful information. I plan on having a magnetic tutorial for the Power soon. I'll use stronger magnets than what are in the factory-magnetized Power M. Take care, thanks for watching, and ...... HAPPY CUBING!!!! Music: "Lixomydian 3 Blues" by David S. Miller (all instruments)How to Make a Magnetic GuoGuan YueXiao Pro Speedcube!DMCubing2017-08-20 | Hey guys, here's my tutorial on magnetizing the new Yuexiao Pro 3x3 speed cube! It's a fairly easy DIY, using the built-in slots inside the cubie pieces. But there are a couple of things that we do different here, like beginning with the corner piece thirds, so we have a better-aligned magnetic placement. I'll discuss all of this in the video. The magnets I used are Gaussboys N38 4x1.5 magnets. Only 4mm x 1.5mm magnets will fit into the slots of the cube, so we're a little limited in how we can magnetize it. The overall feel and end result using the N38 4x1.5 is really good! Makes for a nice, subtle magnetic pullforce feel. OK, I hope you like this video! Enjoy and we'll see you the next time! Hey guys, here's my tutorial on making a magnetic Yuxin Blue 4x4. The process is actually fairly easy, so if you've ever magnetized a 3x3 cube, you'll have no problem; and if this is your first cube to magnetize, I think my instructions should be easy to follow.
This tutorial will work on other 4x4s as well, like the Wuque.
A word about the magnets: Most people are using 3x1.5 magnets on the inner layer and 4x2 magnets on the outer layer. This gives the cube a better balanced feel. For this project, I used 3x1.5 magnets throughout, but I've made notations where the larger 4x2 are to be placed.

Here's my tutorial on making a magnetic MoHuan ShouSu ChuWen 2x2 speedcube. Like many 2x2s, it features a capped designed, so this tutorial will work equally well on the Guoguan Xinghen, Yuxin White and other 2x2s of similar design. For this project, I used N52 3x1.5 neodymium magnets from gaussboys.com - http://www.gaussboys.com/store/index.php/magnet-shapes/discs/d0301g.html I feel the magnet gives a nice, overall medium magnetic pullforce feel. Not too subtle, not too pronounced- just right in the middle, and I think this magnet will probably work equally well in other 2x2s.
I hope this tutorial is helpful. If you have any questions or comments, please feel free to leave them. Thanks for watching, and, HAPPY CUBING! Dave

I took a short vacation, and I am in Texas right now. Just visited a cool mammoth park: nps.gov/waco/index.htm where some 67,000 years ago these huge beasts found themselves caught in a flood, they all died, then 67,000 years later their remains were found.
As for cubing- I just recently finished a tutorial on a magnetic Chuwen 2x2. Well, it's almost finished. I just have a few little more things to edit, and do a little more voiceover work on it. And I should have it uploaded in several days. Hope everyone's doing well. I'll see you guys later. Happy cubing! My GTS2-M - On The Road To Perfection!DMCubing2017-06-26 | UPDATE: Be sure to watch PART 2 here: youtu.be/BhbjUtYADD0 where I go over 11 more prototypes! I've now settled on the N42 5x1 magnet from gaussboys.com as being my favorite magnet in this cube, followed by the N48 5x1 (Apex) and N35 4x2.
Check out Jay Lewis's video on two of my prototypes, the N52 5x1 and N48 5x1! Thanks for helping me out, Jay!: youtu.be/A3hod-NlYXA
Hey guys. Here is an update on my 10 prototypes of the Weilong GTS2 M that I've been working on during the past couple of months. I've been revising the description to my tutorial video on this cube, but it's come to a point where I cannot add anymore text to the description there, so I thought I'd make a separate video. So here it is!!!!
To cut to the chase, and let you know the best magnet I've found for this cube, it's the N48 5mm x 1mm, which can be found at Apex Magnets (tinyurl.com/yasdcppe)! This video will tell you how I got to that point!!!!

Though the procedure of placing and gluing the magnets is similar to other cubes I've done, there are slight differences with this cube. Here, we will be gluing the corner piece magnet first because of the way the parts are designed. For this project I used my new N35 4mm x 2mm magnets from gaussboys.com (forty eight of them) and I think they work extremely well in this cube. (You can save 10% off your order at Gaussboys by using the discount code, DMCUBING at check-out). I hope this tutorial is helpful. If you have any questions, just let me know and I'll address them. Thanks. And thanks for watching!!! DMCUbingMega Shoutout #1DMCubing2017-05-19 | Hey guys! I've got some really good news, particularly for my US subscribers. Gaussboys Super Magnets ( gaussboys.com ) is now stocking N35 and N50 4mm x 2mm magnets. And.... they're now offering FREE SHIPPING on orders over $10 for US addresses. And it gets even better ..... by using the discount coupon code DMCUBING you can TAKE AN ADDITIONAL 10% OFF THE TOTAL OF YOUR ORDER!!! Initially, this discount code is good from now through the month of June, but I'm told if there continues to be enough interest, it may be extended. So, if you've been on the fence about ordering, NOW'S THE TIME! Seriously, these are the highest quality magnets in my collection. Their N38s are the perfect magnet for the GTS2, and the N42 works equally as well if you like a stronger magnetic feel. (These two also work well in the Valk 3). And it's going to be great having a US source for both the N35 and N50 4x2 magnets. After talking with the owner, he agreed to special order and carry them. This is great because he'll be the only domestic US seller of N35 magnets, and his N50s will be true to spec, and not fake like a lot of the current N50s coming off of ebay! I'm just so happy about this! We had talked about the application of these magnets in cubes and he's supporting our endeavors by stocking a nice assortment of 4x2 magnets, as well as other magnets (3x1.5, 4x1.5) which work well in cubes! Just wanted to share the great news. Please pass it along. THANKS! Happy cubing!!!!

Music: "Jean Pierre" (M. Davis) in F major - David Miller, trumpetHappy Birthday, Rubiks Cube!!!DMCubing2017-05-10 | A BIG Happy Birthday to the Rubik's Cube!!! It was during this month in 1980 that the worldwide release of the cube took place. Its official US launch was held at a party in Hollywood hosted by Hungarian actress, Zsa Zsa Gabor, on May 5, 1980. Within a couple weeks of this official launch, the puzzle started hitting the store shelves. This was right at the end of my sophomore year in high school, right before summer vacation. Like millions of others at the time, I rushed out and bought my first Rubik's cube! I still have it, by the way. You'll see pictures of it in this video. And you'll notice too that the color layout was different in 1980. Blue was opposite of green, white opposite of yellow and red opposite of orange. Also worth noting, probably only of interest to true cube buffs, the first issue of the cube had a psychedelic day-glow orange color. Mine has this color. After a few months, the next issue of cubes had a toned down orange color.
I hope you enjoy this little birthday video!!!!
The music is "How Deep Is Your Love" a hit from 1977. I recorded my cover last year. You can find the entire tune and video here: youtu.be/VrzFSRx0Tl8

OK, guys, GOOD LUCK!!!!The Reversed Magnetic Speed Cube ExperimentDMCubing2017-04-17 | Hey guys. I got this comment this morning and I've had others ask me as well, if having the magnets repel each other in a magnetic cube would help or hinder the overall performance. Well, here's the answer. I'll let you watch the video first instead of me putting the results down here.
Thanks to CACuber for the suggestion!
No cubes were harmed in the making of this video. ;-) Cubes used: Two magnetic Weilong GTS2 (one N42, the other, N38 - both with opposing polarities).

My replacement cubes have been shipped! Thank you Cubicle, so much. They've done a great job!!!! UPDATE: Apparently there was a mix up at the Moyu factory and some original version (V1) black GTS cubes were boxed in the new GTS2 box. From what I'm hearing, this mix up does not affect the white or stickerless versions of the V2. Moyu is telling people affected to contact the seller where they ordered their cube from and replacements will be issued. In my case, I contacted the Cubicle via email last evening and heard back from them before 8 this morning. I call that pretty dang good service, stellar, actually! Thank you, Cubicle!!! I've been issued two replacements which should be coming soon. (Yeah!) It seems like a quick visual way to tell the difference right away is by looking at the bottom curved part of the edge piece. On the V1, there's more of a curve. On the V2, it's a little more flat across the bottom.
Hey guys. THIS IS NOT A JOKE I received my shipment from the Cubicle today, and being very excited as most of us are when we get something new, I went right to the cubes within the package. I had ordered two of the new GTS2 GTS V2 cubes. What I actually received was two standard GTS cube, fully wrapped and sealed in plastic, both inside of boxes that were fully wrapped and sealed, and the boxes were the factory boxes labeled GTS2. I know this isn't a Cubicle error. Clearly something went wrong at the factory. I've contacted the Cubicle and I have every confidence in them that they will make things right. I'm wondering, ultimately, how many people this is going to affect. UPDATE - While this video was uploading, I heard back from someone in the industry that this mis-packaging is a known problem, and Moyu will be offering a public statement on the matter soon.Magnetic Cubes: A Worthless Fad???DMCubing2017-04-02 | APRIL FOOLS! ;-)How to Make a Magnetic QiYi Warrior W Speed Cube (Works for Many Other Rubiks Cubes Too!)DMCubing2017-03-29 | 4/5/17 - UPDATE: I just finished this cube by removing the magnets and replacing them with grade, N48. These are much better than the previous ones I had in it (N35). I found that the glue I used in this video, the new clear formula of regular Gorilla glue (it's not a superglue) doesn't hold the magnets permanently. So, removing the N35s was actually quite easy. And the subsequent removal of the glue from the magnets was easy once I soaked them in rubbing alcohol for about five minutes. Then, the glue came right off the magnets. So, while the glue I used here really isn't good for a permanent adhesive, I think it's going to be great when I prototype cubes when there's a chance I may need to remove the magnets and try different ones. So my final findings are the N48 works great (the N35 was really too weak) and the glue you see me using in this video is really only best if you don't need a permanent bond.

Hey guys! This magnetic tutorial was requested by several of my subscribers, so here it is!!! I recently received, as a gift from Lauren Rubik ( youtube.com/channel/UCQ2l284ChRiPt2D5UXRhp0Q ), a really nice QiYi Warrior W speedcube. Thank you so much, Lauren! And since I've received several requests for magnetizing a Warrior W, here it is!!!! You'll see that a lot of the techniques and procedures used in this video can be applied to a variety of other Rubik's cubes, so feel free to try this on other cubes! The position of your magnets will be determined by the interior design of the cubie pieces. Some cubes allow for an easily accessible location to place the magnets. Others, don't. And sometimes we'll place the magnets on the opposite side from what you see presented here in this video. Again, the location of the magnet is determined by the cubie piece's interior design, for the most part. Also, you can alter or vary the placement of the magnet, changing its relationship to the center of the cube. A magnet placed closer, toward the core, will result in a lighter magnetic feel. I personally tend to place my magnets as far out from the core as possible to maximize the magnetic effect.
You'll see that in this video I tried the N35 4mm x 2mm magnet. Prototyping a new cube can be a hit or miss thing sometimes. I found that the N35 is just too weak for this cube, even it being a stickerless cube. So really, you'll want to use a stronger magnet, like the N48 4x2 up to the N50 or even N52 4x2, depending on your personal preference.
OK, I think that covers everything. If you have any questions or comments, please let me know. I try as best I can to reply to everyone. In the event I don't, it's usually because YouTube has failed to notify me of a comment left.
Hope you guys like this and that it's a help. Take it easy and I'll see you in the next video! Happy Cubing!!! Dave

Hey guys! My friend, Moab, also known as Eccentric Cuber, has just set up a new company which offers magnetizing services to 2x2 and 3x3 Rubik's cube in a variety of magnetic strengths. He'll also be branching off into 4x4s in the future. It looks like a promising venture and I wish him well. I've known him since I started this channel and it's one of the channels I've kind of reached out to to support. I feel that when we, as a community, reach out to other channels and give a hand where we can, everyone benefits. So check him out!Magcube School Ep. 3: How to Easily Disassemble the Valk 3 Corner PieceDMCubing2017-03-24 | Inspired by watching Chris Tran's recent video where he's developing a tool to disassemble the Valk 3 edge piece, I decided to design a tool to assist in disassembling the Valk 3 corner piece. As many people know, dealing with the little prongs when disassembling the Valk corner piece is a challenge. So, I decided to sketch out what kind of tool I'd need to make. Since I work a lot with a lathe, I decided I'd fashion mine out of brass rod stock, bore out the end at a taper, than this hole in the end of a rod would gradually and equally push the little prongs in. Well, here's the funny part. As I was sitting there visualizing the tool, I glance down and see my Gan GES nut driver tool. To my surprise, a portion of it is the right diameter that I'd need for my tool, and there's a hole there. Could it be? Could this work on a Valk corner piece? I quickly grabbed a corner piece, gave it a try and YES!!! It works! Works perfectly!!!!! So I quickly made this video and thought I'd share this find with you guys. Here's the tool, which you can purchase from The Cubicle for $2: thecubicle.us/metal-driver-p-4311.html

This actually happens to me often, particularly right after I place a nice drop on superglue on top of a magnet, then an errant magnet flies right on top of the fresh, wet glue. It's frustrating. But in this short video, I show you a simple effective way of freeing two glued-together magnets. Enjoy DM2000 Subscriber Giveaway DRAWING!!!!DMCubing2017-03-18 | Hey, guys! Happy St. Patrick's Day!
