We hand sewed a c. 1812 dress in a single day, from 7:30 am to 10:00 pm. Bless Regency dresses and their simple construction and easy fitting. We were also extremely lucky that this cotton batiste fabric was lovely to work with.The hand stitches we used were: Running stitch, hem/fell stitch and a spaced backstitch/top/prick stitch. That's it. Nothing complicated or over the top, just really easy stitching that is fast too.
