Airtime Alpine Coaster Speed Bob at Altmühl-BOB in Germany Rollercoaster David 2022-09-24 | This is a rather unique ride, Speed Bob at Altmühl-Bob in south eastern Germany, between Munich and Nuremburg. Unlike most alpine coasters, this one has no brakes that you can control, so once you're under way, there's no way to stop. 2600m Roller Coaster in the Alps with No Brakes! - Alpine Coaster Golm Rollercoaster David 2022-09-15 | My most recent trip into mainland europe took me on the longest alpine coaster I've ever ridden, and one of the longest in the world. This is located at Golm in Austria and was our second stop of the day after visiting Connyland. The ride runs from Latschau to Vandans and boasts features of 44 exciting jumps, a spectacular 360° circle and 15 wild 180° hairpin bends.On the ride there are signs indicating you should probably brake, but they arent in english so I ignored them! The toboggans are speed limited however, so I think they can only reach a top speed of 40 kphI've not posted many videos recently, review videos are in the works but life and professional exams are getting in the way of video editing time. POVs are nice and easy to produce though, so I may post a few of them to keep things going.

Unlike similar attractions, there's no guide rail and you are in control of the vehicle. This proved a problem for Austin (AmusementInsider) who was driving as you'll see from the numerous times he crashes.The ride works with multiple sensors so you can't really damage the vehicle or go anywhere you're not supposed to. It reminded us a bit of Dinosaur at Animal Kingdom, except we were the ones driving and providing the commentary.This was part of our recent summer trip to the UK, Spain, Italy and Vienna where we visited a whole bunch of parks.Movieland Park Italy is home to an intamin invertigo boomerang coaster as well as a first generation intamin drop tower.

Quadruple launch Roller Coaster Ice Breaker in Orlando Florida 4K 60fps POV Rollercoaster David 2022-05-18 | One of the newest roller coaster rides to open in Florida, this is an all new design by premier rides and features a quadruple swing launch. It also has a surprising amount of ejector air!For some reason the portrait aspect ratio video of this on my YouTube shorts channel has done exceedingly well, despite a typo in the title that I'm too scared to correct in case it upsets the algorithm, so lets see if the full 4k version can get some love. It almost certainly wont as what blows up and goes viral is a complete mystery to me, hence how the shorts channel is rapidly approaching 10k subs and this channel which requires much more effort to make videos for is far less. Perhaps it's the orange and blue in the Thumbnail that helps? who knows! As an experiment I've tried to match the short versions thumbnail anyway.Don't worry, the Iron Gwazi review video (and for that matter Velocicoaster and Pantheon review videos) are still coming. Olympia Looping Front Seat AND Rear Train night POV Hyde Park Winter Wonderland aka Munich Looping Rollercoaster David 2021-11-26 | Take a front and back seat ride on the amazing Olympia looping, The largest portable roller coaster in the world. This classic ride goes through 5 loop de loops all coloured to the olympic rings. It's fast, steep and great fun, a true classic designed by the legenday roller coaster engineers Anton Schwarzkopf and Werner Stengel.The ride is famous for being a regular fixture at Oktoberfest in Munich and has had extended stints at Weiner Prater in Vienna. This particular POV was shot at Hyde Park Winter Wonderland in London, where the ride is renamed to Munich looping / München Looping to avoid any confision with the olypics which were previously held in London.
The Ride to Happiness Review - Plopsaland De Pannes Xtreme Spinning Roller Coaster by Tomorrowland Rollercoaster David 2021-10-30 | The Ride to Happiness by Tomorrowland is the newest attraction to open at Belgian theme park Plopsaland De Panne. It’s The first ever Mack Xtreme Spinning coaster to open in Europe, after the first version of the ride opened as Time Traveller at Silver Dollar City in the United States of America. This roller coaster is unlike normal spinning coasters because this one has multiple launches and inversions, in fact it holds the world record for the most inversions on a spinning roller coaster,I consider myself a fairly well travelled and seasoned roller coaster enthusiast but this ride was genuinely unlike any of the other 900+ coasters I’ve ridden and felt completely different.The ride to happiness is themed to the Tomorrowland music festival and has an on board soundtrack that plays while you ride. Kondaa Intamin Megacoaster Review - Walibi Belgiums Best Roller Coaster? Rollercoaster David 2021-10-23 | Kondaa is the latest roller coaster from manufacturer Intamin and it's really an impressive ride. Standing 50m tall 164ft and reaching a top speed in excess of 70 mph this isn't a ride for the faint of heart. This makes it the tallest fastest and longest roller coaster in the Benelux region and also one of the steepest. Some may also consider it the scariest. Hyperion Front and Back Seat 4K POV at Sunset - Amazing Hypercoaster at Energylandia Poland Rollercoaster David 2021-09-12 | The tallest Hypercoaster in the world, Hyperion stands at 252.6ft tall and has a drop of 269ft, reaching a speed of 88.2mph - fast enough to travel through time! Abyssus Review - Energylandias brand new Double Launch Roller Coaster by Vekoma Rollercoaster David 2021-08-25 | Abyssus is the newest major attraction to open at the Energylandia theme park in Poland. It’s part of a new world in the park called Aqualantis, which also features the family boomerang roller coaster Light Explorers.Abyssus is a modified version of the shockwave layout of launch coaster made by Dutch manufacturer Vekoma. Unlike a lot of their older rides however, it is thoroughly modern and incredibly smooth. It features elements of positive G and negative G airtime and has some classic elements including a vertical loop and a boomerang double inversion.This review features POV on ride and off ride shots, a mapped layout and a lot more, comparing it to coasters that have similarities like Taron, Helix, Maverick, Icon and Copperhead Strike. With multiple launches, a top speed of over 62mph, 4 inversions and lots of close intereactions with theming it's an impressive ride. Marble Madness Roller Coaster POV with some HARSH Brakes! Pleasurewood Hills Wild Mouse Rollercoaster David 2021-07-14 | Feel the pain at 0.57 when the train runs into some very strong brakes! This Wild Mouse roller coaster used to be located at Flamingo Land until it was removed and replaced with a Zamperla Volare, one of the worst coasters in existance!Apart from the harsh brakes, marble madness is a good fun ride though, and compliments pleasurewood hill's lineup of coasters nicely.
Cannonball Express Unique Schwarzkopf Jumbo V Roller Coaster at Pleasurewood Hills 2021 POV 4K 60fps Rollercoaster David 2021-07-02 | Cannonball Express is a one of a kind Schwarzkopf Jumbo V roller coaster located at Pleasurewood Hills in the UK. The ride feels fast and there is very little clearance between yourself and the track as you ride it, which really adds to the speed sensation. I have shot a fairly standard POV but also one looking more closely at the train and brakefins.It has gone bay several names in the past, starting out as Münchner Super 8 Bahn on the german funfair circuit, before finding a more permanant home at Plopsaland De Panne (at the time known as Meli-Park) where it was called Jumbo 5. It then moved to Funland park in Kent, where it was called Super Figure Eight, before making its likely final trip to Pleasureood hills, where it was originaly called Enigma, before adopting it's current name of Cannonball Express.No other roller coaster exists with the same layout as this was the only Jumbo V to be built, so enjoy it while it's still around!
Velocity Launched Motorbike Roller Coaster at Flamingo Land, 4K Sidearm POV DJI Osmo Action 2021 Rollercoaster David 2021-05-30 | This is the only launched motorbike roller coaster in the UK, Velocity, which has accelerates from 0-60ish MPH in just 2.8 Seconds. It's my favourite ride at Flamingo Land in Yorkshire, UK.If you pay attention you can also see the park's new 10 inversion intamin roller coaster which is still under construction.This POV was shot in 4K 60fps with a DJI Osmo Action and a secure wrist mount on 30th May 2021
Flight of The Pterosaur, Back Left and Right Seat sidearm POV, 4K 60FPS Paultons Park Rollercoaster David 2021-05-16 | This is a rather fun Suspended Family Roller Coaster Built by Vekoma at Paulton's Park in the UK. The park allows filming on rides as long as you use a secure mount, so I shot this with a wrist mount and a DJI Osmo Action with rocksteady stabilisation. I was also able to shoot the view from both the left and the right back seats. The ride is located in a nicely themed dinosaur section of the park. It has the same layout as several other SFCs, including the original Kvasten at Gröna Lund, and Freedon Flyer at Fun Spot America

Storm Chaser at Paultons POV, 4K 60FPS Back Seat Rollercoaster David 2021-04-19 | This is one of the newest roller coasters to open in the UK, Storm Chaser at the fantastic Paulton's Park. The ride is actually a clone of another coaster, Siera Sidewinder at Knott's Berry Farm. This is actually the 3rd instalation of the ride as another spiderman themed version exists at IMG Worlds in UAE. Storm Chaser is the centerpiece of the new Tornado Spirngs area of the park and looks utterly fantastic.

How Id Build The Smiler Roller Coaster at Alton Towers Rollercoaster David 2021-02-26 | The smiler is an impressive roller coaster, fitting in a record breaking 14 inversions in it’s layout. Alton towers cannot built the tallest or fastest rides so this was probably the only world record they had a chance of breaking. Building a Historic Park in Planet Coaster - Lets Play Rollercoaster David 2020-11-16 | To celebrate the launch of the console editions of Planet Coaster on Playstation and Xbox, I’ll be building a new park in a fun way, by adding new kinds of coasters in the order they were invented in the real world. In this way I hope the park will grow organically as I try to fit every coaster in the game into it. I’ll try and make every ride in a realistic design, appropriate for the time it was built, and try and keep the park at least somewhat grounded in reality. This video essay covers the evolution of the world's tallest roller coasters over time, from coasters such as the Loch Ness Monster at Busch gardens Williamsburg, all the way up to the current world's tallest coaster, Kingda Ka, at Six Flags Great Adventure. The world record passes around between america, japan and europe and there’s some really interesting rare coasters featured here. Coasting in to Japan - Epilogue and Final Park (Tokyo Joypolis) Rollercoaster David 2020-06-06 | Japan had been an amazing trip. I'd ridden so many roller coasters, visited loads of parks and had a fantastic time. I’d ridden steel dragon 2000, the world record holder for the longest rollercoaster in the world and one of the tallest and fastest roller coasters too. I’d also ridden the steepest roller coaster in the world (at the time) Takabisha.I discovered my new number 1 coaster, Hakugei at Nagashima Spa Land, an RMC Hybrid that blew me away with how good it was and how much airtime it had. Other parks I visited included Universal Studios Japan - home of the Flying Dinosaur, Nasu Highland park, Himeji Central park (where I found the cutest capybara cafe), Yokohama Sea Paradise and Cosmoworld, Yomiuriland, Greenland and Tokyo DisneySea - The best Disney park in the world.All good things have to end though so here's a look back at the whole trip and a bit about the final park I visited, Tokyo Joypolis-Rollercoaster David

Rollercoaster David 2020-05-30 | Higashiyama zoo and Botanical Gardens is a park in Nagoya, Japan with 2 or 3 roller coasters depending on what you think counts as a rollercoaster. The highlight is Slope Shooter, a unique side friction ride that some would consider a coaster, it’s certainly a weird ride.This was a bit of a difficult video to make, as the zoo section of the park was not as good as I had hoped, still, the amusement park section is well worth a visit.Enjoy the video and let me know what you think of Slope Shooter!
