In this video, I start to show effects, and I start to branch off the linear path of a typical tutorial. I decided at this point that it's better to cover the remaining basic points by showing a typical working process.
With mixer routing, you can send inserts to other inserts and have better control over your effects. For example, you can send a "dry" (no FX) signal to another insert, use something like reverb, then control the tone of the reverb with another process, like EQ (howtogeek.com/59467/htg-explains-what-is-an-equalizer-and-how-does-it-work/). I'll most likely cover EQ right after the basic tutorials.
