Today I’m unboxing the Cyelee Optics CAT EDG red dot sight—a fully enclosed pistol optic from a brand I’ve honestly never heard of before now. At around $280, the CAT EDG claims some bold specs:
- Fully enclosed emitter ✅
- 7075 aluminum housing ✅
- IPX7 waterproof rating ✅
- Drop-rated to 6 feet ✅
- Motion-activated “shake awake” ✅
- Up to 50,000 hours of battery life ✅
But here’s the catch—Cyelee isn’t a household name like Holosun, Trijicon, or Leupold. So can this optic really deliver? In this video, I give you my raw first impressions of the build quality, features, and overall feel right out of the box.
