Berlin is still in lockdown due to the Coronavirus, but at least the days are sunny. Apart from writing the Coronavirus Chronicles (read them here: letterstobarbara.com/the-coronavirus-chronicles/), I also take my bike and cycle through Berlin. This time I thought of cycling through Treptower Park, a famous park in Berlin. Treptower Park is located alongside the river Spree in Alt-Treptow. Treptower Park is also famous for the Soviet War Memorial, built to commemorate the 80,000 Soviet soldiers who fell in the Battle of Berlin in April–May 1945.
Social distancing is the new normality, and as you can see from the video, the rules are followed by (almost) everyone. For Germany, the rules are: 1) it's allowed to go out but only solo or in groups of two people 2) only people that live in the same household can form larger groups (ex. families, flatmates) 3) there has to be a distance of 1,5 meters.
Once again, I had the DJI Osmo Pocket with me, and I thought of shooting a video in 4K. We somehow have to remember these odd days. So, here's how it feels to be in Berlin during the Coronavirus outbreak: lockdown in the city and people in the parks.
