On the second episode of 'Cyberpunk 2077 Night City Districts EXPLAINED (under 3 minutes)' we will learn more about the Watson District. Here we will spend the first dozens of hours of the game. This is likely to be a playground for the new player experience, similar to what White orchard was on Witcher 3.

Watson used to be a place to live and thrive. During the time of rebuilding, some wealthy Japanese corps had big plans for the district and poured millions of dollars into it. The Watson district had it all: tall skyscrapers, bustling nightclubs, a med center, and even its own industrial sector in the northern part of the district called NID. It all ended when Saburo Arasaka and his corporation came back to Night City after the Unification War. Arasaka had their own plans, and to achieve them, he decided that all rival corporations would have to die. The industrial subdistrict stopped providing jobs and a lot of people became unemployed. Nowadays Watson is the crappy part of Night City, the living area for low income employees.
From what we know from the lore, all bridges that connect to Watson are blocked as the rest of the city has abandoned that district. This is likely something they did to justify the fact that the main part of the prologue will take place in Watson. For those who are familiar with Witcher 3, Watson is the equivalent of White Orchard. A playground for you to learn how to play the game.

Watson is divided into 4 subdistricts.

Little China used to be an extension of Downtown, and during the rebuilding efforts of the 2040s there were plans to make it a second City Center. The corporations built here some top-notch medical clinics and the place used to be known as the Med Center. This is the district where our character V has an apartment and most of the 2018 gameplay footage showed those streets.

Moving a few blocks to the East, we have the sub district of Kabuki. Once the pride of the Japanese medical corporations, now is possible the poorest area of Night City (not including pacifica of course, we are excluding active war zones, for sake of comparison).
This place surely holds the shadiest bazaars imaginable, from seedy cosmetic boutiques to cheap junk shops, all decorated with Chinese lampions and flickering neon lights. After dark, Kabuki is the heart of Night City black marker, so probably a good place for you to search for that not-so-legal augmentation you seek.
Following the highway to the North, we have the Northside Industrial District (NID). There you can find a handful of factories that remain operational, but most of the area was abandoned and now it is occupied by the maelstrom gang. They are those cyber psychos we met also on the 2018 gameplay. To know more about them, make sure to check my playlist on all the Night City Gangs of 2077.
On the last quadrant of Watson we have the Arasaka Waterfront. It is an important link to the corporation's local supply chain. Official data states that hundreds of shipments come through the Waterfront every month. The area also holds some industrial plants from the company like a state-of-the-art Cyberware production complex. Nowadays, a heavily fortified wall surrounds the entire sub district. Getting inside is probably not an easy task.
