This is gameplay of the 1.00 version of Cyberpunk 2077 PS4 on PS5 running through backwards compatibility installed off the disc without installing any updates. This build of the game was built back in August 2020 and long before the game's final delay and long before the day one patch. Even though this version of the game is considered the "gold master" meaning it's the first finished build, in reality this version actually has a ton of features and assets that weren't finished yet and also some content that actually got removed in the day one update, on top of a TON of bugs, basically making this sort of a late beta version. I made this video to show off many of the differences this version has compared to the current version of the game.
Some of the differences compared to the current version include:
- There are many vendors in the unpatched version that you can buy items from (Some of them don't sell items and are named "missing vendor name") . Most of them were removed in the final game.
- The map screen allows you to move, zoom, rotate and interact with it it in full 3D in the unpatched version, in the final version the map is mostly 2D by default and interaction with the 3D map is much more limited
- Many of the icons and artwork are early placeholders and some are completely broken, most of which were replaced in the final game.
