Manga isn't only created in Japan--it's a global phenomenon! Join French-Ghanaian manga artist Loui (creator of the Red Flower series) and Gigi Murakami (creator of Resenter and artist for The Sinister Sisters, which features three chilling stories based on Ghanaian urban legends and folktales) as they discuss the role of African characters and African creators in manga.
Moderating this panel will be Dr. Stanford W. Carpenter -- cultural anthropologist, sometime comic creator, former archaeologist, and is the Academic Liaison for Comicpalooza & Founder of Comicpalooza University.
