CXC 2022:Do Awards Still Matter? Presented by AAEC
Join three award-winning cartoonists as they debate the end of the Pulitzer Prize for Editorial Cartooning, whether cartooning awards are worth it, and the current state of editorial cartooning. Presented by the Association of American Editorial Cartoonists. Panelists include Lalo Alcaraz, who was snubbed for the Pulitzer in 2021 but won the Herblock in 2022, Clay Jones, a Herblock finalist who won this year’s Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights Award for Editorial Cartooning, and Signe Wilkinson, the first woman to win the Pulitzer Prize. Moderated by Kevin “KAL” Kallaugher.
