Contains the recording of the environmental noises of the cabin of the DC9 Itavia IH 870 as well as fragments of the radio conversations between the Regional Flight Assistance Center (Crav) of Rome Ciampino and the aircraft, between 6.30 pm and 6.57 pm Zulu of 27 June 1980.
In fact, although the channel was originally dedicated to recording the communications of the navigation officer, this figure was absent from the crew. As a result the channel affected ambient noise.
