This is how I cut dadoes with a chisel. The piece you saw being processed was a support for a wall shelf I'm making. I'm just using pine because I'm not a very experienced woodworker and I can't afford destroying expensive wood. Part two will be anout making the corresponding dadoes on the shelf itself.
I used a stanley 14mm dynagrip chisel.
The multi tool was the DeWalt DWE315.
